A national scientific and practical seminar entitled “Scientific Journals of Kazakhstan: Quality, Management, and International Integration” was held at the Karaganda Research University named after Academician E.A. Buketov. The event, organized with the support of the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, served as an important platform for discussing strategies to promote national academic journals in international databases such as Scopus and WoS.
The seminar was opened with a keynote presentation by Anel A. Kireyeva, Cand. Sc. (Econ.), Associate Professor. Within the framework of the round table discussion, the Deputy Editor-in-Chief presented a successful case of the transformation and inclusion of the journal “Economy: Strategy and Practice” in the international bibliographic database Scopus.
During the discussion, participants addressed key barriers faced by local academic journals, practical steps for aligning editorial policies with global standards, the implementation of transparent manuscript selection mechanisms, methods for increasing citation impact, and approaches to integrating Kazakhstani research into the global scientific and information space, as well as mechanisms for overcoming these challenges.
На базе Карагандинского исследовательского университета имени академика Е.А. Букетова состоялся республиканский научно-практический семинар «Научные журналы Казахстана: качество, управление и международная интеграция». Мероприятие, организованное при поддержке Комитета по обеспечению качества в сфере науки и высшего образования МНВО РК, стало ключевой площадкой для обсуждения стратегий продвижения отечественных изданий в международные базы Scopus и WoS.
С открывающим докладом семинара выступила кандидат экономических наук, ассоциированный профессор Киреева Анель Ахметовна. В рамках круглого стола заместитель главного редактора представила успешный кейс трансформации и включения журнала «Economy: Strategy and Practice» в международную базу данных Scopus.
Участники обсудили барьеры, практические шаги по приведению редакционной политики в соответствие с глобальными требованиями, внедрение прозрачных механизмов отбора научных статей, методы повышения цитируемости и интеграции казахстанских исследований в мировое научно-информационное пространство, с которыми сталкиваются локальные журналы, и механизмы их преодоления.
