Basic tasks of the Council:
- Consideration of issues of research, implementation, publishing activities of the Institute, as well as expansion of external relations, development of proposals for improving scientific activities and making recommendations;
- Participation in the implementation of priority areas of scientific, scientific, technical and innovative activities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, determined by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Identification of priority areas of fundamental and applied scientific research of the Institute;
- Participation in interdisciplinary research affecting the economic and social interests of Kazakhstan;
- Review of the strategic and current plans of the Institute’s activities;
- Consideration of issues related to the interaction of a scientific organization with other scientific organizations, higher educational institutions, and the scientific community on participation in the formation and implementation of a unified state scientific and technical policy;
- Study and develop proposals for improving the organization of research and implementation work;
- Development of projects for the development of innovative activities of the organization and their implementation;
- Development of international scientific and technical cooperation;
- Development of cooperation with industrial business entities in the field of research and development;
- Participation in the popularization and promotion of the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities, promotion of their commercialization;
- Monitoring and equipping with modern technical equipment, based on the modern requirements of the development of science;
- Development of proposals for the effective work of the Institute, its branch and structural units.
