On March 13, the editorial working group of the Institute of Economics  Deputy Editor-in-Chief Kireeva A.A., Editor-in-Chief Nurmakhanova M., and Chulanova Z.K.  held a working meeting with the international members of the editorial board of the journal Economy: Strategy and Practice.

Deputy Editor-in-Chief Kireeva A. opened the session with a briefing on the journal’s current development trajectory and strategic priorities. She noted that in preparation for submitting an application for inclusion in the Web of Science (WoS) international database, the editorial team has been systematically strengthening the journal’s academic standards, tightening peer-review requirements, refining editorial policy, and deepening international scholarly engagement.

A key milestone was also announced: the journal has been granted official access to the Clarivate Publisher Portal, marking the formal start of the evaluation and indexation process for WoS.

Editor-in-Chief Nurmakhanova M. delivered a welcoming address, emphasising that close collaboration between the editorial team and the international board is essential to building the journal’s standing in the global academic community.

During the meeting, international board members Karachoni P., Elhedda M., Rab Nawaz Lodhi, Gamidullaeva L.A., and Myung Kil Yun confirmed their commitment to advancing the journal’s growth, including through the organisation of special thematic issues, the recruitment of international contributors, and the expansion of academic partnerships.
