On June 24, 2025, Dr. Rashid Muratbekovich Ruzanov, Leading Researcher, PhD, delivered a presentation at the plenary session of the VIII International Symposium on Regional Economics (REC-2025), titled “Spatial Development Strategies: Challenges and Prospects”, held in Yekaterinburg. His report, “Regional Asymmetries in the Economy and Their Role in Income Differentiation,” addressed the underlying causes of economic asymmetries—such as sectoral specialization, infrastructure disparities, and human capital distribution—and offered policy recommendations for mitigating regional imbalances.
On June 25, Dr. Ruzanov also participated in the round table discussion “Spatial Development of Creative Industries: City, Region, Country”, where he presented the report “The Creative Industry in Kazakhstan: Analysis and Development Prospects”. The event took place at the Ural Federal University named after the First President of Russia Boris Yeltsin.
