ECONOMICS INSTITUTE SCHOLARS PRESENT AT INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

Leading researchers from the Institute of Economics of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the 13th International Conference on Sustainable Development.

The event, organized by the European Center of Sustainable Development and the Canadian Institute of Technology, served as an authoritative platform for the exchange of ideas, the presentation of research results, and the discussion of professional issues in the field of sustainable development. The conference brought together representatives from academia, practice, and policymaking. The agenda focused on critical challenges related to human, environmental, and economic sustainability, including topics of green energy, financial stability, and sustainable urban planning.

Professor N.K. Nurlanova and Professor A.T. Tleuberdinova delivered keynote presentations, emphasizing the localization of the United Nations’ universal goals. The scholars presented detailed mechanisms for adapting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to the specific conditions and challenges of the regions of Western Kazakhstan. Additionally, Z.D. Osmanov presented a poster titled “Scenarios for Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions in the Gas and Oil Industry of Kazakhstan and Priorities for Economic Growth”.

The materials presented by the Kazakhstani delegation generated significant interest among colleagues from the United States, Poland, Romania, Colombia, and other countries. Participation in the 13th ICSD 2025 confirms that Kazakhstani science is not merely present on the global stage but actively generates solutions that are of national importance and demonstrates strong expertise at the international level.
