Results for 2023:
Theories, concepts, and approaches from existing scientific research on promoting gender stereotypes in various fields of science (gender relations, gender discrimination, gender gaps, etc.) have been examined. Advanced international practices for identifying gender imbalances in the scientific environment have been studied, along with the potential for their adaptation to the context of Kazakhstan. Socio-cultural factors and gender-related scientific stereotypes that hinder women scientists’ decision-making, self-identification, and career advancement in STEM fields have been investigated. The main conceptual frameworks for empowering women, as well as a set of guiding principles for overcoming gender disparities in science and innovation, have been substantiated.

Results for 2024:
Existing methodological approaches used for the development of an original methodology for studying women scientists in the fields of science and innovation (based on primary and secondary data) have been systematized. A set of factors reflecting the importance of women’s rights and opportunities for assessing their impact on economic growth, as well as on the development of science and innovation in Kazakhstan, has been identified and classified. A quantitative study was conducted, based on field sociological surveys involving more than 500 women scientists, the results of which will contribute to the assessment of their impact on economic growth and the development of science and innovation in the country. A regression analysis was performed to examine the influence of women scientists on economic growth and the advancement of science and innovation in Kazakhstan.
